Viewing, Handling and Care

Use for casual terrestrial viewing and decorative enjoyment. We do not promise a particular magnification, viewing distance, astronomical performance or professional navigation capability. Extend the sections gently, support the telescope with both hands and adjust carefully without forcing the tubes.

Never look at the sun through this telescope, even briefly. Severe, permanent eye injury can result. It is not a solar-viewing instrument or safety-critical navigation aid. Supervise children around this substantial metal item.

Wipe the brass gently with a soft, dry cloth; avoid abrasive cleaners that can alter the patina. Clean lenses carefully with a suitable lens cloth. Keep the telescope and case dry, avoid salt spray and prolonged moisture, and store the telescope collapsed in its case when not in use.
